Late Registration and Grades Improvments
What does late registration mean and how is it different from regular registration?
What happens if you don't have all your grades yet though you still register?
And what if you're already registered and have grades but improved them during the registration period? Here you can find all the answers to these questions.
- A renewed discussion of admission will take place following the submission of improved grades, such as: psychometric exam scores from the summer (July) date (for semester 1) and/or improved final matriculation scores, depending on the admissions situation at that time. It is possible that there will be no places left at all or that the acceptance agreement threshold will increase.
- Applicants to the medical tracks are not permitted to submit data after the date indicated in the timetable table.
- Scores from the September psychometric exam date will not be accepted at all for registration for Semester A.
- Scores, certificates, and additional documents submitted after the required dates will be considered on a space-available basis only. The number of places available for admission is extremely limited.
- Starting in June (for semester A) and January (for semester B), admission thresholds may be higher than the admission thresholds at the beginning of the registration period
Please Notice!
At the stage of late discussions, dormitory admission will be made on a space-available basis.
- The data entered in the personal area must be checked and the Candidates and Evaluation Section must be notified of any errors in the data. The Candidates and Evaluation Section conducts its own checking processes and any errors that occur are corrected.
- The information provided through the Candidates and Evaluation Section website represents the data as it is known at the given moment. If there is an error in the data, calculation or procedures, the information will be corrected accordingly.
- The Technion may withdraw an acceptance notice sent to candidates if new data becomes available, or if an administrative error is discovered in the processing, etc. A new decision, if any, cancels a previous decision. In the absence of a new decision, the last decision received is valid.
- Technion receives only final grades directly from the Ministry of Education. Final grades arrive near the beginning of the semester.
- The discussion for all tracks, except for medicine and dual degrees with medicine, will be on a available basis, depending on the admissions situation at that time. It is possible that there will be no seats left at all.
- Admissions thresholds change from time to time during the Technion admissions process. It is possible that the admissions threshold will increase during later discussions.
- If you have improved your matriculation grades and they were not recorded in your personal area, make sure to transfer them to the Technion in person. You must contact the Ministry of Education and request an official supplement of the new grade that includes the final grade in that subject.
- Each subject in the matriculation exam consists of a number of questions, and each question has a different weight in the final weighting. Therefore, the Technion cannot weight sub-scores in the matriculation exam. Sub-scores will not be accepted.
- Any grades that are not certified by the Ministry of Education, such as a web printout, screenshot, or school certificate, will not be accepted. Only grades that are certified as required must be sent.
- Candidates whose high school diploma has not been accepted are asked to present an official transcript from the Ministry of Education. The transcript must contain the word "eligible."
